Q. My little brother is in 5th grade and is having a lot of trouble w/ parts of speech. I only remember what nouns pronouns and verbs are so can you help us w/ the rest like preposital and adjective and adverb.

A. An Adjective describes something like "He was a HAIRY Bear" or "It was a DARK night". An adverb modifies the verb like "He GLADLY wrote a letter of thanks". A preposition connects the noun or pronoun to the object like "The boy went TO the store".
