Does anyone remember the Blue Cat in The Magic Roundabout? If so, was it only a book, or...?
Q. ...was an episode made for the TV? I remember it, but a lot of people say I'm making it up. Are they right?

A. ...it was a film made in 1972 as well as a book. However, the Blue Cat didn't show up in any of the short TV episodes. "Danot made a longer film, Pollux et le chat bleu, in 1972 which was also adapted by Thompson and shown in Britain as Dougal and the Blue Cat. The cat, named Buxton, was working for the Blue Voice who wanted to take over the garden. The Blue Voice was voiced by Fenella Fielding and was the only time that Eric Thompson called in another person to voice a character. The Blue Cat heard of Dougal's plan and made him face his ultimate weakness, and locked him in a room full of sugar." Was Dylan the Rabbit in Magic Roundabout named after Bob Dylan?
Q. I seem to remember he might have been
Asked by ALAN!!!!!!!! - Tue Oct 19 18:46:25 2010 - Other - Television - 5 Answers - Comments
A. Dylan is the name of a rabbit from the old Magic Roundabout series. He is very chilled out and calm. He often spends most of his time sleeping. But he plays his guitar and guards his mushrooms as well. He is the only bipedal animal character out of every other animal. He is actually based on the singer known as Bob Dylan.

Q. They all had names, even the ones who only appeared occasionally - How many can you remember? OK folks, here's a clue - there are 10 animated characters in total. (11 if you include the roundabout itself). All ten characters have names - some less obvious than others. Ooops. I forgot Mr Mc Henry! - make that 11.

Q. What memories does it bring for you?
Asked by Hold my paw please - Fri Sep 18 20:56:52 2009 - Mental Health - 2 Answers - Comments
A. Yes I do. I remember them going on the roundabout afterwards and it really was like magic. My Dad used to chortle away - I think there was two sets of humour in it, one for the adults and a magical story for the children. I remember Ducal nd the blue cat and was scared. Another character was Florence, my heroine.
